How to use Uticopa Messaging?

Finding Your Way Around

There 2 folders accessible to you:

Inbox – contains all incoming messages.

Sent Items – records all outgoing messages.

If you are unsure where you are inside your messaging area, just click on the Folder you want to be in (Inbox or Sent Items) and this will take you to your list of messages within that folder.

Unopened / unread messages appear in bold and have a ‘closed envelope icon next to them’, with the most recent message at the top.

Viewing / Reading Your Messages

Click on the subject of the message in question to open it.

When finished to return to your list of messages, choose ‘Back’ option.

Replying To Your Message

To reply to a message – open it, scroll to the bottom of the message and compose your reply inside the ‘Reply’ field. When finished press Send Message.

Sending A New Message

To compose a new message if you are a client, please use the Contact button against any therapist’s record.

If you are sending them a message for the first time, you need to locate a therapist through Find a Therapist tool and use the Contact button against their listing. Alternatively you can add them to Your Therapists List (your favourites), which will enable you to quickly locate them within your ‘My Therapists’ tab and then to send a message you will use a Contact button.

If you are a therapist, to send a new message to your client (or to start a new Message Thread) you can use the Contact button against that client’s name in your My Clients tab.

Tip: If you are discussing a particular problem, you may want to use a Reply function, however if you would like to start a new discussion, you may want to use Contact button - this effectively will start a new message thread.

Sorting Messages

If you find your message area is getting full and you do not want to delete your historic messages, you can view all messages from a particular client / therapist by using a drop down selection and pressing the Go button.

Deleting Messages

Our messaging system is based on ‘threads’ which show the entire thread (message history) within the same message. When deleting a message you are deleting an entire message history (a thread) for that message. Once you have deleted a message, you can not get it back.
