Do those little things in life drive you crazy?

We all live our lives as if the secret purpose is to somehow get everything done. Well, no!
As soon as you've finished one ‘to do' list, another one will surely come along. The ‘in box' of our daily lives is meant to have tasks to do in it; it isn't supposed to be empty. The trick is to enjoy what you do, not be obsessive about getting everything completed. In reality, most things can wait.
So often when we're dealing with bad news, we get into certain habits which are not good for our mental health. We focus on the negative aspects of life and lose sight of the bigger picture. The thing to remember is you can change your attitude to life, but only by taking a less stressful approach to things. Stop worrying about the trivia of life, stay calm and your mental health will improve.
Here's some other ways to improve your mental health
-
Only fight the battles you've got a chance of winning
-
Accept your own failures or imperfections
-
Accept that life isn't fair
-
Repeat to yourself ‘life isn't an emergency'Ask yourself: will this matter in a year from now?
-
Agree with criticism directed against you - then watch it disappear
-
Search for a grain of truth in others' opinions
-
Stop blaming others
-
If someone throws you the ball, you don't have to catch it
-
Become a less-aggressive driver, and stop justifying your anger
-
Have compassion for the other driver: remember how painful it is to be in such a hurry
-
Stop interrupting others or finishing their sentences
Do something nice for someone else, and don't tell anyone what you've done -
Lower your tolerance to stress; relax more
-
Set aside a quiet time every day
-
Breathe before you speak
The golden rule is to search for your own inner peace. When you have this, you are less distracted by earlier needs, desires and concerns, and more focused on not only achieving your own goals but in giving back something to others.
Life is too important to take too seriously!
